Following the global financial crisis, Owen Lennie and Danny Anderson founded the company that is now Fawkner Property in 2010 to meet the demands for a change of management by investors in Private Property Trust No1 and Private Property Trust No2. They came highly experienced, with more than a decade successfully working together as directors of a responsible entity operating unlisted property syndicates.
The company was brought to life next to Fawkner Park and was inspired by the John Pascoe Fawkner legacy of integrity and creating wealth through property (read more).
In an early endorsement of the Fawkner Property credentials, on 3 June 2011, the unit holders in Private Property Trust No 2 voted to install Fawkner Property as manager of the trust. On 11 June 2011 the unit holders of Private Property Trust No 1 did the same.
The Murarrie Private Property Trust was commenced in December 2012, under a private arrangement with a sponsor.
Fawkner Property obtained Australian Financial Services Licence No 437 334 on 23 May 2013, enabling the company to promote new property syndicates generally and, in September 2013, the Westernport Private Property Trust was launched.
On 5 March 2015, Private Property Trust No 2 was successfully wound up showing an overall return to unit holders of 13.7% per annum since commencement (read more).
Fawkner Property moved to 468 St Kilda Road in August 2015.
Danny Anderson retired on 30 June 2016 and three new directors were appointed in July 2018 (read more).
By the end of 2018, Fawkner Property had developed into a fully-integrated property funds management company with specialist acquisition analysts, accountants, business development staff, property and asset management staff and leasing executives.
